Am I the only one?..........................

in Techland who believes that options should be expensed? If a company gives a gold watch for a retirement gift, that is counted as an expense; but if an executive gets $100M in options, that is not?!?! What am I missing here?

And the argument for options not being expensed is specious at best. The US was the technology leader before people had options; that somehow options provide the ONLY incentive for people to innovate is ludicrous. All the people working 14 hour days in their garage are not doing it for options.

Where am I going wrong here?
