I bet both Bush's and Gore's IQs are both much higher than the national average. You are just caught up in the media bashing. I used to live in Texas a long time ago and I was friends with a neighbor who had no education, held a blue collar job, and spoke a broken, pigeon English. Despite all that, the man was uncommonly intelligent. He had street smarts and common sense to spare and an unerring sense of what was morally correct. Most people who met this man thought him to be of low intelligence. People talked down to him and didn't show him the respect he deserved.

It goes to show you perceptions about what make a person intelligent in this country are severly off the mark. I'd bet if we really knew the IQs of Gore and Bush, they'd be far higher than most people in the country and higher than the average on these threads.

Anyway, characterizations and generalizations are a fairly simple and uneducated way to look at people.
