QQQ calls outnumber puts (with very significatint volumes of open interest) at 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36. Calls from 29 on up are going to money heaven. Is this pessimism or optimism? At 26-28 about 300K calls exist for about 130K of put contracts. Is this pessimism or optimism?

Mish, So does that mean you don't expect a move higher to max pain. Max pain on QQQ has worked very well over the past several months. I think you stated that it worked in June with that afterhours Oracle run up.
In my opinion, it failed in June (for the first time in months).

I am interested in your thoughts on this expiration. What kind of odds would you give it of making it to max pain on QQQs this time?
