fingolfen, I see many 0.13 parts on sale Pricewatch has 30 sites from $207 to $249/ Similar to the number selling 2.26 Ghz P-4, a parts that is almost as good in performance(Yes, AMD part is better, read not a dud)

Yes, but where are the higher speed grades? INTC has a 2.53GHZ part out? Why can't AMD even keep up in it's "PR" scheme. Why can't anyone overclock all of those 0.13 micron AMD parts? World + dog says the Northwood on Intel's 0.13 micron process is a killer overclocker:

Answer: The AMD 0.13 micron process is a dud. The days of the K7 as a performance processor are over, and it's now a "value" processor only.

AMD is going towards 300MM, it will be there this summer???

Try 2005 if their joint venture with one of the foundries (can't remember if it's UMC or TSMC...) works out. AMD has no plans to move to 300mm independently.

Intel has indeed tried to kill amd, by price, and by threats to mobo makers. Always in person so nothing in writing is left to cause problems. Now does that mean it does not exist, those threats? Why the mobo makers play games with white boxes if there were no threats???
In addition, Intel does not give a shit about DoJ, they feel they can manipulate the process with politics...they may be right. MSFT has done it.

Oh please... first you say "AMD has hurt Intel with competition" and then you say "Intel has a monopoly". You can't play both sides against the middle, Bill. What is Intel? A company fighting for its competitive life or an "evil monopoly bent on world domination?" You characterize Intel as one or the other to suit your point-of-view, and offer no real facts to back up your opinions. What "facts" you preport to offer (see your 300mm dreaming above), are nothing but wishful thinking...

Going through your "points".... AMD is the one that always pledged to charge some percentage less at any speed bin than Intel, so how can it be Intel that's trying to "kill AMD by price." As to the threats to the mobo makers... unsubstantiated rumors courtesy of Mike Magee... I tend to doubt them because European courts have also recently thrown out anti-trust claims against Intel. Remember, the DoJ under Clinton is the one that got a ruling in Federal Court to split Microsoft... and it was the DoJ under Clinton that dropped all charges and stopped investigating Intel. Again, your "facts" and "assertions" seem to have no basis in reality.
