Jay,

In a few words, I'm totally baffled at mankind's general stupidity....esp when it comes to large masses of people 'just believing' in some people, and trusting, that somehow, the past is a direct indicator of the future.

As for the financial markets, I'm a lot more humble(d)...I actually do not have a sense of the direction where we're headed, across the world, and in this, I do not care to differentiate the Far East financial markets from the global ones....if the latter ones sink, there is no place to hide out here, in the tropical jungles, as everything is so exposed these days....years of deforestation, global warming, and politicians mostly without their kimonos...

Anecdotally, if the past were to teach us anything, we know that the markets do not like FUD...so, I'm inclined more positively to gold than I was when I was being thumped by my Swiss bankers about my craziness in considering gold as a 'safe place' to hide. They think it is dead money...

In summary, I'm with the 'faith'....

All the best,
Selva
