Yes that would be an EXTREME position. And your sentence ought to read "to any position that marks SUPERNATURAL belief." Atheists belief very deeply in all sorts of things. They simply require their "beliefs" to withstand the test of reason, rather than the blind acceptance of some mumbo jumbo utterances from some "man of God"... Most people who mentally wander the supernatural world also insist on facts when important values are at stake. Only the real nut-bars go to a "man of God" when their appendix is about to burst.
