Addi, It is not really the "people" that are following the upgrades like lambs. It is the mutual fund managers to whom the people have given money. The managers are playing with OPM (other people's money). If you gave me your money and ask me to play with it, I can play some really exciting games in the market. I will collect my fees and I really don't care about your returns, because I didn't guarantee anything in the first place! Incredibly, people are still in the "buy and hold" mode. If this cyclical bear is to end, we need to see lots of people giving up on that attitude. (Even if the cyclical bear ends and is followed by a cyclical bull, it will all be in the larger context of a secular bear market that will last at least for a decade, if not longer. But that is another story...)
