to make a boring story shorter, apparently not every firewire card on a PC will result in easy iPod usage not every firewire card works well at all for anything, let alone an iPod.... that is why mac users have far less headaches using their computers.... apple has control over both the hardware and software making plug and play a reality, as opposed to a huge pain in the b*tt for wintel users praying they can play......... jon.
