With the recent major decline in stock prices. ( a component of The Index of Leading Economic Indicators). IMO-I see any recovery attempt deferred. I also think talk will get back to the FED cutting interest rates for stimulus. How will things get better? Consolidation of competitors in weak industries, but not much in it for stockholders, except attempts to make stronger companies. (Lean and mean)

I think our Gov't needs to bring back accelerated depreciation on major capitol goods purchases. Get the people back to work, and build confidence. The market itself adjusts prices on fancy accounting and scandal
