Christianity, and Islam


Not to mention beings of pantheism, Baal worship, Taoism, Greek and Roman religions, and on and on.

The langage "under God" or under god -- when spoken there is no distinction, so the speaker can mean whatever he or she wishes to -- doesn't refer to any specific or particular god or gods.

IMO, it's all an attempt not to make the government religion-neutral but to make it religion-hostile, which is a very different thing.
