I wouldn't be so hard on the guy. Intel hired him to put to together a Intel communications fund. He said they were essentially fully invested December, 2000. That was his job. His job was not to trade a hedge fund I imagine. So maybe he was "King of the world" like that Dude on the bow of the Titanic. Confusing a bubble with an iceberg.

Any idea what happened to communications stocks since then? duh.
Perhaps..."other" is a write off line on Intels financial report? In the last analysis...Intel is not the only entity that go caught in the wrong market at the wrong time.
I guess...the moral to the story is...stick with what you know...like fabbing chips...
