Jon You like to stray in your replies. Did I say anything about Sony not making Betamax machines, I said Sony knew the consumer level market for their product was done and moved to where the market was taking it. This will happen with firewire just like it is starting to happen with MD and DAT, both dying in the consumer arena because a product maybe inferior but more popular has taken hold of the market. American consumers have rarely been concerned about quality. It's all about price.
