Did I say anything about Sony not making Betamax machines did i say anything about Sony not making VHS machines? you did say that Firewire will be dead.... which is clearly not the case.... anymore than BetaCam is dead.....and it is called BetaCam not BetaMax..... Sony didn't move their BetaCam business anywhere, they kept it, because it made a lot of money...... and that same business will use Firewire2.0, because it is the best and fastest...... so your assumptions are flawed that firewire is dead, just like you tried to imply that Betacam was dead....... and since Firewire is the same price as USB, it will be picked up by all devices on down the line...... again, showing that it is far from "dead".... jon.
