On May 28, the SEC informs a particular company that they are under investigation for accounting fraud.

On July 9, the Prez(Shrub) informs the world that CEOs caught cooking the books should go to jail.

On July 10, the CEO of the aforementioned company is sued for defrauding investors out of their investment dollars.

On July 10, Ari the Deflector announces to the world that the lawsuit is without merit....DUH!

What is so strange about this case. The prez informs the American citizens that he is going to crack down on fraud. So we get the first lawsuit naming a CEO of fraud, and without even hearing from the SEC as to the status of their investigation, ARI announces that the suit is without merit.

How is this? Does the company in question get a free pass...guess so! Since the company is Halliburton.
