Herb go smack the person who told you that. Actually I am on my third MP3 CD player and they keep getting better. Iriver who also made the Riovolt is real good about taking suggestions for their firmware upgrades. I prefer using MP3 CD's because they are cheap, durable and 11 hours of music is enough for any purpose I might need. I just make separate MP3 cd's each with different music styles rather than using playlists and then just use the shuffle mode and sit back and enjoy.

The Slimx is the best on the market right now and J & R Music is selling it for $164.

Regards

Don
