One of the last times you were here I said:

I do believe that the optical plays like JDSU, SCMR, NUFO, have put in major bottoms. A long term investor can buy and hold these companies with expectation that they will achieve killing returns.

My intent was to encourage people to look at investment possibilities. These three have such possibility although obviously currently they have zero earnings visibility. In this market you could have been killed by holding them, but surprisingly, that hasn't been the case. They're pretty much where they were, random walking in a base. You note that. In a bad market they aren't making down side headway. You don't buy yet, but you do watch.

Here's a fact: the country's 'bones are loaded to the hilt. The only viable way out of this growing disaster is to encourage big telcos to expend for optical equipment because the optical solution is the only truly cost effective scalable long term solution. The telcos won't make the expenditures under the strangulation of high taxes, '96 Act regulation, and endless attacks from socializing local municipalities. There must be profit for them or they won't do it. So, we can either go on with the 'crat charade like California is doing in power, or we can dump this developing disaster for a free market solution.
