Whitepine makes some interesting comments on the market...

Believe the USD has further to fall. About 35% foreign bonds, holding SJT, PGH, and a bit of PGO. 55% cash. Dynamic markets will probably see continued selling by foreign holders. Tough to measure magnitude of high/low limits either ST or LT as many major players have agreements and positions that may have to unwind in ways we can't anticipate. As likely, a reasonable trading range on Dow of 7500-9000. Without a firm reference point, it becomes more difficult to define the level of risk we face, IMO. Thus, prudent to me to sit on the sidelines. Further, I don't believe the general inverse relationship between gold and market averages will necessarily continue. Argentina, Turkey, Brazil will continue to be wild cards on the horizon.

Good luck to those who take positions long in equities.
