Perot was a bit off of the handle. I was just using him as an example but I dare say that if this keeps up that a Perot type candidate could win in 2004 provided they eliminated some of the Perot quirks, like quitting a month before the election, then re-entering... Perot could easily have become president had he not come off like the nutjob he is. This guy was on his way, and only his weird behavior (dropping out, getting back in again) stopped him. As to 2004, it isn't possible for a 3rd party candidate to do it in 04. Bush is too close to the center. It'll be Bush vs. Gore, or maybe Bush vs. Kerry. Bush will trounce Gore, but Kerry scares me. He's a horrible, horrible liberal but a lot of people would vote for him. He could well be our nation's next disaster. If the Democrats are successful in their attempts to destroy Bush, we could end up with Kerry as president. Talk about an election in which America loses!
