I was talking to someone who considers himself a rather "unsophisticated" investor. At the present time, this person is completely turned off by the stock market in general b/c this person believes that he cannot trust the financial statements. Therefore, if you can't trust the financial statements and if you don't know whether or not the company's earnings are "real", you might as well be trading baseball cards or beanie babies.

In some ways, I agree. I believe that the market will be dead for a couple of years.
