OFF TOPIC: Patrice, you don't list an e-mail address so I couldn't take this there. I know some SI members don't list their e-mail addresses for fear of being flamed, but really, if you conduct yourself honorably, you shouldn't have any problems.

I had similar problems with my PowerMac 9500/200 using 7.5.5. Netscape crashed or froze about once an hour. No amount of fiddling seemed to help much except it was somewhat more stable when I booted from a bare-bones system folder on a removable hard drive, with only extensions necessary for Netscape. I know it was some esoteric extension conflict, but I never had the time to really track it down.

When I went to 7.6.1, everything settled down and it has been a joy. I think I've only crashed once or twice in the past 3 months, and I knew I had done something dangerous at the time. You need to get System 7.6.1 immediately. If you order it today from MacConnection for $69, you'll have it tomorrow morning. You'll also get a FREE upgrade to OS 8 when it ships next week. Meantime, you'll be smooth sailing on the net.
