I find it quite astonishing how little consideration ,or at least dialogue ,regarding the potential outcomes of this campaign that many, as yourself , seem hell bent on seeing through

I wouldn't call myself "hellbent" on it, KC, my comments reflect my interpretation of the administration's intentions rather than my own inclinations. I agree, there are lots of things to worry about, particularly Saddam's use of WMDs and dealing with the country after the war. I don't really worry about our winning the war (recall that Iraqi soldiers surrendered to camera crews the last time around), or a hostile reception from the Iraqis (this is a regimes sustained by fear alone). My expectations are that the Iraqis would rejoice to see us for the first couple of months, then turn on us.

So I am very interested to hear what our plans are to deal with the country -- from the little I understand, there are various government-in-exile groups that are democratic, such as the INC, but it doesn't look like they have much support inside the country -- Saddam has simply been too ruthless and efficient.
