Wave, I've noticed that gold and more specifically gold stocks have been moving with the market here lately ... what if your scenario of manipulation is played out where if the market do trend upwards - they begin to leave gold alone (short covering), hence the end of the reverse correlation.

Wouldn't this discredit gold as a "safe-haven?"
