That is idiotic. The Arabs made their intent to destroy Israel in 1967 perfectly clear, and in no uncertain terms. Israel launched a preemptive strike (with a much smaller military force) and kicked the Arab's butts in 6 days. Israel then occupied the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan heights to maintain a buffer. In 1973 the Arabs again attacked Israel and regained the Golan Heights.
