Ray, Your assertion that this thread ' was a swell promotion tool for various "market products" is not based on fact. In fact the reason I participate on this thread is that for a very long time people have been open the possibility of the reality we now see.

I have posted bearish thoughts on this thread since perhaps 1998 0r 99. I was laughed at a lot then by many junior members of the thread and passersby but in general the main participants were tolerant of my posts and looked at the materials I presented.

You have to realize that many on this thread are serious traders. They don't care if the market is going up or down. The point is to figure that out a few hours ahead of the rest of the gang and get the position. I see nothing wrong with that. If trading is one's game then that is what is required.

At the same time this thread has looked at long term issues, and I believe it has done a very fair job of letting all with a reasonable point participate. People may have discussed market product, which is a very unclear term, but no one has been allowed to 'push' anything on this thread. Clowns with a set point of view or with something to sell have generally not lasted more than a few months at most.

I enjoy many of your posts. I hit the next button on an increasing number of them, and I regret to say I am finding that your crusader attitude, which is, in my opinion, quite appropriate when applied to the general market situation, is also quite misplaced when aimed at specific individuals or this thread in general.

There were, not to long ago, a major number of 'first sight' posts appearing on this thread. These have now moved elsewhere. Many people no longer want to come here to throw out interesting ideas, they go elsewhere. Many of us now read 3 or 4 threads for the same information we were previously finding on this thread. That's a shame.

I do not dispute your right to participate on any thread. But your dominance here as a poster has completely changed the character of the thread. It seems to me YOUR 'market product' is being a bit over hyped. In many ways you have become the enemy you so revile. If killing something is what you regard as victory then you are well on your way to that goal here. My suggestion is that you cut your posting, give more thought to what you are saying, and take a little more time to consider the thought that goes into posts from people who try to correspond with you. Not every post demands a response. This one for instance.

regards, yorikke
