Good point, but I believe dishonesty is an inherent characteristic of liberalism. Now you can have a person with liberal tendencies, like McCain, who is basically honest. But the more liberal one becomes, the more dishonest he must become so as to support his liberal leanings.

Perhaps it is unfair to say liberalism and honesty can't coexist in the same person. There are liberals who are just stupid -- for example, Alan Dershowitz. But for the most part, they use dishonesty as a crutch. The End DOES justify the MEANS, you know...
