FERC ESTABLISHES HARD PRICE CAP IN WEST
Source: ENL

The FERC has reset the price cap on power sold in the Western spot markets to $91.87. This comes after a Stage 1 Emergency Tuesday in California triggered the recalculation of the price cap to $57.14. On Wednesday it was changed to $55.26 following another power emergency alert in California. In its order, the Commission said it was taking the action because it "cannot expose customers in California to the risks of a low price cap."
