Wing Design ( www.wingdesigninc.com ) is pleased to announce completion of a new gaming device powered by the Microsoft Windows XP Embedded operating system.

...
Based on Densitron's DPX-81 ConnectBus® architecture, Wing Design worked very closely with Densitron's BIOS engineering staff to modify the Award BIOS allowing for secure system validation utilizing the on-board ROM to guarantee authenticity of the operating system and gaming software. M-Sys hardware allows the device to run without a physical disk. Wing Design has written a proprietary Windows XP driver to allow the storage of gaming information and tilt history on an independent block of battery back ram. This memory isolation delivers a read only code base that completely guards against tampering or hacking. Because the device has no moving parts, hardware problems are virtually non-existent.
...
Microsoft Visual Studio.NET was used to expedite the programming and design of this system, and will allow Wing Design or other programmers to quickly release new and improved models to keep up with the most discriminating gamers.
