The suicide bombers are effective..

How do you think they are they effective?

I recently posted on this thread some statements by Palestinian man-in-the-street types in which they said (accurately IMO) that the intifada suicide bombing campaign was a disaster for the Palestinians. Not too long ago, a group of Palestinian moderates signed a petition saying about the same thing - though they re-released the statement a few days later weakening the criticism.

I suspect western anti-Israel types like the suicide bombings because they provoke a defensive response which they can then use for propaganda fodder against Israel.
