Pretty bleak Mad2,
I really do feel for the unsuspecting masses who got sucked
in via their 401Ks and pension funds.
But it was the uncontrolled greed of the longs which ushered in the "Wrath of God".

We may be telling our grand kids one day about the time
when everyone went bonkers over stocks, a time when you
couldn't go into a deli without seeing tickers on TV and
postal workers, factory workers and grannys discussing
which tech stocks to buy.

It was also a time of gross negligence, by the pension
and fund managers, by the brokerage houses, by Wall Street,
by corporate America itself, and by the Federal Reserve.
It seems that greed trumps reason every time, and that
history is destined to be repeated, time and time again.

But that was then, and this is now, and many of us bearish
types who refused to participate in that madness are
recouperating some of our losses a little bit at a time...

Aufwiedersehen,
Das
