"Amazing. If you could only write a book on the rational evaluation of love, I wager you would have a runaway best seller"

It has been done many times.

"The God I believe in is not outside natural law at all."

Well, that is interesting, isn't it? A "God" who is subject to the laws of nature. A God who is an idiot full of sound and fury...and signifying nothing. Trust you to invent a God subject to the same natural laws as you and I--LOL!

When I speak the word "God" I am referring to a mythic force or Being--believed by some to have ACTUAL...rather than merely conceptual existence. On the other hand, when I speak (for instance) of "love", I speak of a certain sense of affinity or affection. Most people have experienced affection, and therefore they may accept that it is not a mythic quality, but rather an actual dynamic in human experience.

I find it peculiar that you are unable to identify such qualities as "real", while you yet proclaim knowledge of an actual and natural "God".

You express a bewilderment as to how these human attributes may be measured or assessed. But if you do not believe that affection, pride, arrogance, selfishness, cruelty, pridefulness, loyalty, or other common human values are "real", then on what basis would you consider the value of these qualities when assessing friendships or potential intimacies??

Do you consider these qualities mythical qualities which may not be weighted or measured ("And perchance you could tell me what instrumentation or methodology I can use to observe pride and scientifically verify its existence")? How do you chose your friends and your enemies? If you don't believe that values are "real", how do you eVALUEate?? Do you live your entire life as a mystic and visionary?

Well, we're having fun, right? I'm just trying to follow your words so that I may honor your vision of reality. It is strange for me to consider your view that values are not real, and that you have evidence that God is "Natural" and subject to decay and death and gravity and hunger...but I am doing my best to treat your ideas with the seriousness they deserve.

"there is far more evidence of the existence of God than there is of the existence of honor"

Have you never been honorable? Is the presentation of the qualities of honor not proof of the value? An what is the incredible evidence you have for a God with natural limitations? Do you have an address? Do you know what It is made of? Will you be selfish with this natural evidence, or will you share it?
