seems to me we "have" to have deflation regardless of Fed. If "broke" is zero dinero, well many are worse off than just broke - they have nothing and then owe debt obligations. Houses are clearly as overvalued as Naz 5000. I built my house so I know what the costs are. Construction materials have never been cheaper due to production efficiencies. People are simply paying way over cost for shoddier (particle board/chip board/razor thin veneer) construction. When will reality set in I dunno. Maybe when people start being skeptical when they're asked "do you want fries with that McMansion".
