Conference Call--

EPS: -.02.

Company lost .02/share on unfavorable changes in exchange rates with Japan, where they buy their monitors.

2-Q Revenues $21.2 Million, down 6% from one year ago (12% in display business alone), down 18% from 1-Q 1997.

Soft quarter in document imaging, not offset by new markets co. is "aggressively" pursuing. But even for document imaging, "we expect third quarter to be better; don't see this as a declining situation."
The count of document imaging projects is still going up; the co. has not hit a plateau, although some projects have been delayed by customers.

"Seeing signs of rebound in document imaging and call center markets."

Software-side margins might actually decline 3-Q, because the company is selling professional services in connection with software licenses.

Expect "break-even to small profit" for 3-Q 1997.

CRNR repurchased 250,000 shares for $2 million during first half of 1997 ($8/share). Company is going to resume its buy-back program this quarter.
