Hello Bill,

Yep ... when I see these smaller players I always wonder what their exit strategy is ... who might buy them! ;-)

By the way ... I took my Xybernaut MA V out last night for several hours. I have been doing some "fun" experimentation and went rollerblading for ~7 hours (~8:00pm till ~1:00am) here in SLC. The temperatures when we started were over 90 degrees here.

The configuration that I was using was the MA V, with the "holster" so that I could also have a PCMCIA 802.11b wireless adapter. I had a USB GPS attached also.

For power, I had the two Xybernaut batteries (one in the MA V and one in the holster) and I used one of the ElectroVaya 16 hours cells connected to the MA V.

I was running several different applications and even had WinAMP playing my collection of MP3s all night long - so there was continuous hard disk activity. I was using the "Calypso" display and would turn it off when not in use.

The MA V ran well all night long except for one issue that I have seen before with the sound card ... it stopped working and required a reboot to fix. I am looking into this issue. Other than that, the MA V operated from the ElectroVaya cell all night without ever using it's own internal batteries.

My next test of this will be using the Head Mounted Display that I purchased. I have to look for a good pointing device and I am interested in finding a USB mini-trackball to see how that works ...
