Lizzie, This article suggests a plurality of IT execs think spending will pick up in the second half of 2002, which is a pretty good indicator. forbes.com The other thing that struck me from this article is this little tid bit: >>>>The last major takeaway from the survey is that software suites--that is, integrated applications that work well together--are "trouncing best-of-breed technology here and abroad."<<<< Most of Ellison's claims about the direction of the software biz get vindicated at some point.
