NEW WORRY - Investors Fearful Politicians Will Handcuff Corporations

How quickly the intraday rally fades AGAIN! Stewart Varney on CNBC just pointed out what some fear - that politicians are ultimately more interested in votes and looking good to voters. There is a fear they may even go overboard and strap even honest companies so badly with regulations that CEO's will purposely do things like underestimate earnings so they have a buffer in case an inadvertent mistake is found later.

We can't allow that. We need common sense regulations that assure honesty and hard work but not cause fear or loss of incentives. We need to keep an eye on politicians to make sure a McCarthy-like witchhunt doesn't take place.

We also desperately need to send a message that the guilty "Whitest-Collar" criminals who got/get filthy rich while taking a whole Company and its workers and shareholders down are punished more severely than the guy who steals a CD out of a audio store.
