Chinu:
I don't have the inside knowledge that you said you have. The only thing I know was that Pentium chip was developed under his watch in Intel. I presumed that his input in some way contributed in the development of pentium chip. If he is not a technical person in the actual development of Pentium, I wonder why even the American press made a big deal of it which I remember. I understand he resigned from Intel to start a company that has "spice" in its name in order to innovate new products. If I am not mistaken, he was given honorific title by India. India always gives recognition to her sons and daughters rather belatedly. He might have been the Ed Sullivan of the chip business: Ed Sullivan's talent was to spot talent. Or he might have been a good manager. But if he is just a manager without knowing the technical details, it would be difficult to keep a reign on and command respect from co-workers. What is he doing nowadays? Was he not given some kind of an award in a White House ceremony?
