I am mortified at the arrogance of the Bush team to suggest that we don't need to be part of the ICC. We have no right to self-exemption, IMO. I have yet to have a satisfactory answer from the Bush team as to what is objectionable about the ICC provisions. The "sovereignity" talking point can be dismissed out of hand. The Bush team actively seek to give up sovereignity via WTO "fast track" negotiations, NAFTA, etc.

The hypocrisy here is obvious. As long as the major corporations are coddled, we'll give away all American sovereignity, without batting an eye.
