So let me get this straight.
We've got the Securities and Exchange Commission; fifty (count 'em 50) state securities bureaus; the North American Securities Administrators' Association; the National Association of Securities Dealers; the New York Stock Exchange; the Securities Investors Protection Corporation; the Independent Institute of Accountancy; the Financial Accounting Standards Board; to some extent the Federal Reserve Banks; and buzzing around the edges, we've got Attorneys General aplenty, the House Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Securities, and Government; the General Accounting Office, the Department of Justice, and - to cap it all off - that wacky, ever-theatrical bunch, the U.S. Congress
But, as it turns out...
...the long-absent piece of the puzzle...
...what we were missing all along...
...is a new task force.
I feel better now. Don't you?
