I don't know enough about it to argue one way or the other, but I grant you the possibility vis a vis AA and various CEOs. It's a bad sign, but I think Bush will get on top of it.

We most likely have a different view of what 'on top' means. How it is that the Administration can simulatneously hold the positions that you can drill in Alaska and protect the environment and have the Federal government buy mineral rights in the Florida Everglades to protect the environment? Be staunchly for 'free trade' and at the same time have lumber and steel tariffs and increase the farm subsidies by some 65%? The 'tax reduction' wasn't a reduction at all, it was deferring the tax liability to some future date, i.e, adding to the national debt. Recall how the energy crisis in California was to exand to the northeast with rolling blackouts. It never happened. Is there a convincing argument that the Administration is headed towards a smaller government that is less intrusive? There's a body of evidence [scientific and intelligence analysis]that says that SDI is either doomed to fail because of the physics or has drawbacks that preclude it's deployment. Pass an Executive Order to supress the release of over 50,000 pages of Reagan Administration papers for 'national security' reasons; that particular facet was already covered by existing legislation. Disagree with the Administration and you're not patriotic.
