Bill,

I, for one, have never understood that argument regarding the difference in prices. Let's face facts. There is competition in the uP arena.

If a company does not wish to buy an Intel uP, they can buy from AMD.

Regarding Dell. Dell is an outstanding customer for Intel since Dell purchases many components from Intel other than uPs and in large volumes. Why shouldn't Intel offer better pricing to Dell?

For example, if both of us go to an automobile dealership and I purchase two cars while you purchase one car, I feel very confident that I will receive a better overall average price per car than yourself.
