Jack- good question and one I have not really understood well to date. QP in their new version will have a good deal of infor on industry groups as I understand it- as well as ranks. TC2k allows scans on the Worden groups. I would think running ROC and beta scans on such groups as well as checking in IBD or other sources on what's hot and what's not could move us in a good direction. Large indexes like S& p 500 and NASDAQ are harder to use to pick sectors cleanly IMO. andy
