wcom going to belly up and leave jnpr holding the bag for $5million.. I hope jnpr is not continuing to ship on credit to wcom...
can jnpr take a $5million charge next quarter.. It sounds like they never will see the money.

I'm not sure about the support costs of jnpr equipment, but just offhand I'd say its better to get this stuff out there and put to use in the wcom network (which still carries over 50% internet traffic last I looked) vs. sitting around in inventory waiting for the writeoff. Somebody is going to pick up the wcom assets, maybe at&t and even a restructured wcom and whoever that customer is likely be free of debt. The network is working fine so they will keep the existing gear providers, why not? I say jnpr should continue servicing wcom during the BK or whatever happens.
