I already mentioned one of my favorites(Resurrection by Leo Tolstoy). Let me add another: Point Counterpoint by Aldous Huxley. I picked up this book in the bookstore almost on a whim and after nearly 100 pages almost put it down and stopped reading. The book has absolutely no plot whatsoever(reading the reviews on the book cover gives you no insight as to what the book is about) and is written in a pompous style, one that takes time to get used to. That being said, if you can get through the first 100 pages(total is about 420), this is one of the(if not THE) most exquisitely written books I have ever read. Huxley is well known for Brave New World. It is truly a shame that most people stop reading his works there. This **masterpiece** has a special place in my collection now.
