I usually agree with you about 90% of the time. However, I guess this is one of those times that belong in the 10% range.

I just can not see how you can have a weaker monetary system than one based on fiat money. We use to have our currency backed by gold and silver, but no more. Our founding fathers saw the great price we pay with fiat money. That is why they put Article 1 section 8 clause 5 and Article 1 section 10 clause 1 into the Constitution.

I don't it is fair to categorize people against the banking system as conspiracy theorists. Since the colonial times, there has been many battles against fiat money. In the times that fiat money was abolished our country flourished.

I would be interested in hearing your reasons in favor of a central bank and fiat money.
