But that would have to be the Biography thread, and I have a feeling those contributions, unless it is the Authorized Biography thread, would fit under other coffeeshop headings.

One could ask someone else to ghost a purported autobiography for them, of course. That would be amusing. It would be, like, The "Fictional Autobiography of ___," by Poet.

I think one would really have to have permission.

But most fun and interesting would be real autobiographical riffs. There are some good writers here who've had interesting experiences.

Off the top of my head, I'd say I'd ideally like one each (heck, why one? People have a lot of things happen to them in their lives; lives have chapters) by Ish, Steven, and Gauguin. Penni would do good ones, except that she already does them for her column. I'd love to see yours. I'm just not thinking, I know there are lots people on SI who like to write.

I just changed my mind. I think it should be just autobiography. Another thread could be for Pretend Autobiographies. Those are short stories, really.

People will be too shy, I think. The most interesting things are often personal. Not always, but often.
