How To Restore FAT? - One of my PCs locked up; on reboot, it jams and Scandisk stops at 1% into the File Allocation Table check, then returns an error message "Data Error Reading FAT".

I believe the C: drive FAT is backed up somewhere on a regular basis automatically. Anyone know how to coax the computer into restoring the backup FAT to the active FAT?

The "This Subject Only" search function wasn't working today - apologies if this question came up before.
