<< I remember reading of the poor man who was sodimized in the NY with a broom by the police, and the man shot (NY also?) >> Sure it happens everywhere, everywhere one can find the bad person, difference is in N.Y.,Dallas Houston, and the many others the minute the accusation was made the cop faced immediate suspension pending investigation. I was shocked to see the Inglewood police chief defending leaving the accused cop on the job!!! In my mind this is less about individual brutish abusive cops and more about the systemic problems which put & keep the abusive police on the street! Here in the Metro Denver area Mayor Webb was grilled to tears for allowing a few cops accused of corruption(NOT beatings)to "ride the desk"(paper work only) until the investigation was complete.
