Clinton did everything he could to EARN a fed surplus strong dollar to lure foreigners stock rallies to lead to capgain tax income swap LT to ST debt to cut costs rape & pillage the SocSec TrustFund dismantle the military and security apparatus now we pay the price of Clinton's misguided thinking correction to last line of your poem: now we pay the price of Bush's immediate, misguided reversal of almost all the above also... 1) "rape & pillage" is an over-emotional misstatement -- high-schoolish. 2) history will show that military buildup to excess actually decreases security and liberty through an imbalance of power just as a buildup of wealth in the hands of few increases poverty. we're already seeing great evidence of this and suffering the consequences. -el editor
