I think hammering people can unfortunately help you to get an audience more then just attacking the ideas, and she's smart enough to realize that. Tim, sometimes the ideas aren't the point. Coulter's focus is the hypocrisy and dishonestly amongst liberals. How can she possibly expose these conditions without "hammering" people. Is it "hammering" someone to quote them? If she had not documented with precision who said what and when, her analyses might be simply discounted. Because she has identified the transgressions of these liberals in detail, citing names, places, dates, and times, you really can't argue with her analysis. The liberals can launch personal attacks against her (just as we've seen here), but her research will hold up over time.
