Context seems to be irrelevant to your line of thinking. Yes, Israel, in conjunction with England and France, went to war in 1956. Egypt, under Nasser, had committed what Israel had made clear was a casus belli. They announced the closure of an international waterway (the Gulf of Aqaba), a vital seaway for Israel. They also promoted fedayeen attacks against Israeli civilians (gee, does this sound familiar?). Imagine a nation going to war over such matters as the murder of its citizens or its vital access to international waterways- obviously all Israel's fault, in your view, I suppose. If you had a shred of integrity, you would include such circumstances in your analyses.
